the bible was translated not interpreted by the order of King James. The original word there in greek and hebrew was translated to wiseman or magi. Your substitute word is not appropriate, no offense.

I'll repeat the bible must not be interpreted because we will be mis-guided, like in your case you want to interpret it in different names.

    Peace!

read again 1 Corinthians 14:40 for your question bahin sa pagpangihi.
Not all words in the world are written in the bible but the essence only because it will make the bible thicker.
Like the Country Philippines, its written in the bible but you can't find the word philippines because it was just discovered and named by the King of Spain during the 16th centuries. So much with shabu and aids, the essence was written but the name can't be found. I think you're the one who taking it by verse only and you take it literally.

    Peace!
Mao ra lagi gihapon istoryaha! kada tawo lainlain ang pagsabot! Kinsa man naghatag sa standards kung unsay decent and orderly?

    Vulgate:

    KJV:
Ge 19:9 And they said, Stand back. And they said, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and drew near to break the door.
Ge 23:11 Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the children of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.
Ge 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for thou hast striven with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
Ex 1:12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
Ex 5:5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land are now many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

I will use or apply your style since you will not accept the verses in the bible instead interpret it.
Here's the meaning of debate. http://www.uvm.edu/~debate/code/004.html

Debate is that process which determines how change should come about. Debate attempts to justify changing the way we think and live. (from the link).

Debate (North American English) or debating (British English) is a formal method of interactive and position representational argument. Debate is a broader form of argument than logical argument, since it includes persuasion which appeals to the emotional responses of an audience, and rules enabling people to discuss and decide on differences, within a framework defining how they will interact. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debate

Here's the king james version: Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
