mu lang! we should give credit to kobe for what he did.. bsag buwaya pero dako kaau cya tabang para sa lakers oi..
for now, kobe is "high and mighty" for Lakers' fans and all basketball fans all over the world for that matter but if this trend goes on and L.A. fails to reach the playoffs this year and the next, he would have failed them. fans are expecting championships and not somebody breaking records, and that's the bottomline.
Shut Up! Let your GAME do the talking!
oh yeah..kobe is basically the hero now for lakers.. and he's a legend for the entire team..
@jugs_05, the operative word for the first part of your statement is "now", but let's just wait til the "L's" keep coming L.A's way and observe the fans reactions if their team won't be able to reach the playoffs. re his team mates hailing him as "legend", i don't think so. those guys would also want to have decent stats so they can get better deals in the future, how will they accomplish that if there's only one guy shooting the ball half the teams total attempts every game?Originally Posted by jugs_05

that's exactly it.. im not saying that from the point of view of his teammates though.. but from the way most people see it..ain't it? but..whatever..Originally Posted by omad

remember jordan in the late 80's. in his rookie year, they ended 38-44 and fell just a place short in the playoffs. he averaged about 28 a game. in the next season, the bulls were no contenders (jordan's injury year). then came next season where they made it to the playoffs but lost to the celtics in round 1. it was in that series where jordan scored 63 points in the boston garden. it was pippen's rookie year and just averaged about 7 a game. pippen's improvement and involvement the next season fueled the bulls more until they won their first championship in 1991.
just consider this, if jordan still took most of the shots and give pippen and some of his teammates a chance to contribute, the bulls wont go far.
basketball is a team game, not a one man show
