It could be nicer if the old bridge will be dedicated to bicycles only...I beleive that 30 to 40% of people will resort to bicycles...They are just too scared to tread the bridge with cars...I have surveyed in our department alone, almost all would like to use bicycle going to work...That means lower pollution, lower gasoline consumption, lower traffics, healthier people..etc.

I just don't know if the people from government is intelligent enough to study on this move...

this would be nice...IF...there's a new bridge or two...
this doesn't guarantee (at all) that the people outside your department (in general) would resort to it if implemented...
