actually "Metro" or Live Tiles, was first used on Zune, not on windows phone.

im talking about the metro ui in general not the live tiles specifically since live tiles are just part of the metro ui... metro ui are basicly came from an idea of using signages used on subway rail and any public signages...

sorry pal, wikipedia is filtered out of my search preferences, its full of shit... i have my own way of research... and i use encarta 95 before just dont know that its called metro ui...

unlike wikipedia sa technet wiki everything is strictly followed not everyone can edit or change... and most editor are certified or have been on the industry.... and based on my cross-referencing all information leads to that including posted research by other people and some MS peeps...

and oh btw... metro ui is based on an old design used on real world not just in devices... on the airport on the railway station on the bus station... its everywhere even on comfort rooms...
