@ dmelsie : why did use 2 plexi glass? you could of done it with one,....
either the mesh on the outer side (so that if you touch the side panel,... you can feel the grill / mesh)
or mesh on the inner side,..... (so that if you touch the side panel,,..... you see the mesh / grill but feel the plexi glass)
