why did dumbledore trust snape?

because Snape, who I believe heard the entirety of the Prophecy, only told the Dark Lord part of it, and that he regretted doing so, as it led to James and Lily's death.

Trelawney does not have any recollection of making the Prophecy, all she knows that after feeling odd, which was when she starts on the Prophecy, there was a commotion outside the room. she then tells Harry about Aberforth bringing Snape in. contradicting what Dumbledore said about the eavesdropper being thrown out halfway into the Prophecy.

he did not beg for his life, he begged to be killed.

as for Harry's fate, imo, I dont think he will die, however I believe he will come very close to it.
and I dont think it would be him that kills Voldemort.

besides killing rips the soul apart, I dont think Harry, or Dumbledore for that matter, would want that.
