Speaking of political dynasty what can you say about Pablo Garcia handpicking her daughter as his successor? Isnt a sort of political dynasty too? To those who dont support sugbuak, why impute ill intentions on Cong. Martinez, Kintanar and Yapha? Do you have any basis?

And what about Gov. Gwen, why she is opposing such move? Did you know her intentions of doing so?

My point is everyone has valid reasons on taking a stand on the issue. There is no monoploy of who's right and who's wrong. Correct mi sayop sila. Why you are so sure that you are correct?

And why allergic of division? Negros which is divided into two province has a vibrant economy. Davao which is divided into 4 (compostela valley is the newest one) is progressive. Not all division is negative. Sometimes its beneficial. Cebu City and its environs can focus on becoming Singapore while the rest of the provinces could develop their own. Northern Cebu will become a tourist hub with the resort island of Bantayan and Malapascua will be prominent. Cebu Occidental will become the industrial hub of the island while Cebu del Sur will be the agricultural bread basket as well as a tourism area.

    So everybody happy.

Now you anti sugbuak people, can you give a STRONG, LOGICAL, RATIONAL, INTELLECTUAL, DISPASSIONATE, and MATURE reason why you oppose the division of Cebu?

SENTIMENTAL REASONS are not valid arguments on this matter. Asenso man kaha atong gusto. This is the chance for everyone to progress and move on.

Its good that you're now thinking about solutions and not problems. I like the idea of developing Bantayan and Malpascua as a tourist area coz my relatives comes from that area. But why break Cebu apart? If you're concerned about the delivery of basic services, there are other ways that can be addressed. Has the problem been so severe that we now need to draw a dividing line between the political dynasties of the north, south, east and west? Why would we let Cebu be divided according to political baluartes? Do we need to divide this island just to preserve their political strongholds? The proponents of the Sugbuak bills has not presented a compelling and logical reasons for the division - take for example the acute power supply and and water supply - the socio economic landscape of the areas. Are they looking into this as well? I have read these bills and they lack substance.

You don't get it Mr. Istoryador, but the burden of proof lies in the hands of the proponents of the subuak bill. Let them present a STRONG, LOGICAL, RATIONAL, INTELLECTUAL, DISPASSIONATE, and MATURE reason why they would want to break up Cebu other than for their own political survival (since all of them are on their last terms of office).

Cebu province is already pretty much divided - they are called districts and honestly, i dont like the sound of it ever.

They are looking at the wrong option.

Logical? Excuse me, kanus-a na progressive ang economy sa Negros? People from Negros Oriental and Occidental troop to either Cebu and Manila for greener pastures.

Davao? Except for Davao City the rest of the so called "Davao" provinces are in misery. And for your information YOU IDIOT! SINGAPORE IS ONE WHOLE ISLAND!!! How can Cebu be another Singapore if you its divided into several political units?

Go back to you school you m*ron and review your history, geography lesson.

Btw, you haven't answered my question. If politically subdividing an island is the solution to a province economic problem (which Cebu doesn't have btw) why not divide your home province of BOHOL? Whatdayathink buddy boy?

I have already presented the arguments of the Pro Sugbuak bill. Dont throw the same question to me. The ball is now in your court.

YOu didnt present an argument why being WHOLE is better than being DIVIDED.

Actually, people in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th districts dont care. If the division brings them progress why not? Look at the 2nd district it had 15 towns. Na probinsya man gani ng Siquijor nga 6 ra ka lungsod or Camiguin nga 5 ra, 2nd district pa kaha?

All your arguments are emotional, sentimental but nothing more. Kung gusto na diay gyung mobulag ang mga tawo aning mga distritoha, NGANO PUGNGAN MAN NINYO? Mamugos diay mo?

Speaking of Negros and Davao these are sweeping statements without concrete basis.

SINGAPORE IS ONE ISLAND! God. How about Cebu? Is it a continent? YOU ARE IDIOT TOO (ikaw nag una una ug name call ha)
