Pay exact amount, if you have, so you would not argue with drivers. Some drivers have the guts to take advantage of the situation that they would still insist on the old fare.

Two days after the rollback took effect; the conductor to a public utility bus keeps on collecting using the P12 minimum fare when it should only be P11. He says to one of his passengers that the rollback will take effect next week. Unfortunately, I was always reading the news that I knew very well that the LTFRB states that the rollback will take effect within 24 hours after its announcement. With that in mind, the conductor could not do anything but collect the P11 minimum fare with me.

LTFRB director to ask taxi operators: Stop collecting P10 add-on

LAND Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) 7 Director Romulo Bernardes will meet with leaders of Metro Cebu Taxi Operators Association (MCTOA) and the Cebu Integrated Transport Service Cooperative (Citrasco)to request them to remove the P10 taxi add-on fare.

Bernardes said the hearing of the petition for fare reduction was set by the LTFRB en banc for Dec. 3 yet but the price of LPG was again cut by P6 per liter yesterday.

hep wait a minute. that was only an appeal to ask taxi operators to voluntarily scrap the P10 add on RIGHT NOW due to the big rollback in LPG prices. it will still depend if they would give in NOW.

AFAIK, the LTFRB session about that will still be made on Dec 3 pa. Some operators are amenable to scrapping it right now, but some are not coz they want to wait until Dec 3 pa.
