we can't compare people because each has its own attitude, character, perception about things like I can't compare you and your opinion/idea with Malu's; about the economy seat, lets turn to the fact that Malu was supposed to fly first class but a friend advised her to take economy.

about maltreating the bisayas? I don't know maybe there is just a misperception with some people like maids are inclined to being a bisaya because it, really is common wether we like it or not, truth hurts.
respect her opinion? well, we also have an opinion of her looks and her attitudes so maybe she should also respect that since it's our perception. don't worry let's see if she will respect our opinion when we posts an article about her big fat ass and her old woman's boobs na galaylay na. she speaks as if she has no imperfections. let's see if she'll also respect our opinion about her looks and her smell. that 17kg makeup is necessary to make her ugly face look more presentable. and those perfumes are for covering her body odor and disguising her offensive smell. she can't go to the beach because she is FAT. and so she should also respect our perception and not find it offensive. but i've heard that she is already pleading that we stop this because we are already hurting her family by saying things about her family and her big fat ass and her piggy face.

so, i'll tell her what you told us "let us respect the opinion of others" and it just so happen that we don't have a good perception/opinion about her looks and her character. should you not also respect our opinion/perception?

and if i tell you are FAT and ugly. should you still respect me for saying those things while i brag about my being the most gorgoeus guy in the planet and being an elite.

you really think people who brags about their status should be respected? i don't think so. i have no respect for such people. i have respect only for those who are high up yet still act low like one of those ordinary people. i met many people like that. and i have great respect for them but not for a trying hard elite kuno who thinks she is high up while all the rest are down below. and that's my opinion. and you should also respect that.

now you say truth hurts. i could only say you're one ignorant F*T ass (tambok). Come to the bisayas and you'll discover that not everyone here are maid and we are a rich well-bred people and bisayans are not tanga, it is the pa-sosyal elite tagalogs amo who are tanga. they can't even speak cebuano. bisag libakon pa sila wa sila kabalo magtanga lang tawn. the only reason why some of us have to go to manila and luzon because imperial manila had been stealing a lot of money from us. we gave much and get too little in return. development is centered in imperial manila and luzon. though now, we are already getting them because of arroyo's debt of gratitude.

    nahala, respect my opinion.

^^ the point is... malu attacked the person (the OFWs). what if we also give her a dose of that attitude and see if she'll find it funny and pleasant. let's see if she'll find it funny when people call her a stinking pig that needs 17kg of make up to hide her ugly face and a jo malone perfume to disguise her offensive smell.

    respect begets respect.

[color=navy]Since everyone is still concerned about this person, Malu Fernandez, I am just curious-- has anyone read her latest article today? Because I didn't and I don't think I plan to, unless someone raises an alert again.

Anyway, there is a mass displeasure on the words of Malou but those are in the past, and what's done is done. Now she is showing some spunk by continuing on. I don't really care about Malu Fernandez and I don't plan to spend my spare time here in iStorya, ranting on how an less of a human being and a Filipina she is.. or was.. or whatever.

My point is Malu Fernandez is moving on and I suggest that we should, too. All's been said, written and done. (until the next controversial article Malu Fernandez comes up with) If one wishes to move on with continued displeasure against Malu Fernandez, may I suggest the following actions?

    1) Boycott the Manila Standard and other publications affiliated to it both in print and online. Since they're continuing the Divalicious column, it goes to show they don't really care about people feel about it despite that it's just a lifestyle article and a lousy, notorious one at that.

2)Spread the "Don't-be-like-Malu" admonition and attitude. Make her the poster-girl of classic bigotry, shallowness and negative "elitism". Inform others, teach it to our children, direct it to your daughters, sermon it to your sons, narrate to your nephews and nieces and anyone never ever be a or do a "Malu, because its bad for you."

Who/What is a Malu? Let's define it to dictionary standards. A Malu is a "1.) person or action that expresses negativity of and against others, based on social status or standing. 2.) An obnoxious person fat on vanity and self-importance. 3.) A pig, hippo or any large animal that does not care what, where or who it defecates."

Please feel free to add other definitions to what or who a "Malu" should be. Basta please don't be a Malu!

3.)Let us be good Buddhists, Jews, Christians, Muslims~ Let us believe in the power of prayer. Let us include Malu Fernandez in our prayers.

Let us pray that Malu Fernandez transforms or humbles herself into an individual who realized her mistakes and tries her best to do amends to the people her words have offended, a type of person who can be worthy of your forgiveness and good will. And pray for those poor souls who are like the Malu of the OFW article, that they realized the gift empathy, of putting oneself in others' shoes, no matter it is unbranded, fake or cheap copy, holey, soiled these are-- and let us pray that no more Malus should be born or bred upon this earth. Amen.

Unseen evil on your dressing table

    By MALU FERNANDEZ
There are two kinds of people who react to bacteria and germs, some are from the germaphobes—or the people who are obsessed about cleanliness —others are just plain filthy. We have all seen those programs on one of the lifestyle channels (such as Clean House and the other one, whose title escapes me, is about the two British ladies who come in and show you how much bacteria you have in an unclean house). But many women I know who keep a decent clean home or are obsessive about cleanliness often forget about cleaning their makeup tables and medicine cabinets. There is a lot of unseen evil lurking on your dressing table and medicine cabinet. And by evil I mean bacteria and germs!

The woman who wears minimum makeup usually keeps her stuff in the medicine cabinet on top of the sink. A more high-maintenance woman will have her own makeup table complete with lights or a lighted mirror. The problem is, most women don’t know when to throw away their makeup. As you all know women in general shop for makeup like they shop for shoes. When a shoe gets worn out or is out of season you can easily see it and throw it away. But how do we know when it’s time to get rid of our makeup?

Makeup has a shelf life and expiration dates on some brands because as we use them every day we expose them to bacteria that can give us rashes, eye infections and other allergic reactions. For instance:

    • Mascara has a shelf life of two to three months. Never share your mascara with anyone else because its chemicals are highly prone to bacteria and germs which can give you a serious eye infection.

    • Eye shadows and blush have a shelf life of two years if in powder form and one year if in liquid or crème form.

    • Eyeliners or pencils last up to one year but, personally I think they can last longer as long as you sharpen them before each use. Just make sure you throw them away if you get any eye infections even if they are new.

    • Lipstick, gloss and liquid foundations last one year.

The general rule is that any makeup that is creamy or in liquid form lasts one year because the chemicals break down quicker than the powder forms, which last two years. A lot of you may be asking isn’t it expensive to keep throwing the stuff away even if it hasn’t been all used up. It can be, if you let it.

A few years ago I got involved in developing a makeup line and I found out that all these expensive brands and cheap brands get their chemicals and formulations from just three giant laboratories around the world. No matter what brand you’re wearing, a lipstick only costs 50 cents to a dollar to make. The packaging is usually more expensive. Add the marketing costs and you have the rationale for why a branded lipstick can cost anywhere between $15 to $25.

But don’t be a label whore when it comes to makeup because as I said all the chemicals are basically the same. Don’t be afraid to try out cheap drugstore brands. You may find some things that you actually like. And for those of you on a budget don’t feel bad if you’re buying a cheaper brand than the one you really want. They just differ in packaging anyway, it’s all the same. The one important thing to remember is not to buy any fake branded makeup items because you have no assurance of the chemical make-up in the item. A lot of them may not have been regulated and probably manufactured under unsanitary conditions. Buy your items from a reputable drugstore, department store or duty free shops.

Also, remember to clean out your makeup brushes with alcohol or plain soap and water because they can harbor bacteria as well. Wash your sponges or buy a bag of disposable synthetic ones that you can throw away with each use. Store your makeup and makeup brushes in a sanitary manner keeping all your tools clean. By doing this practice you can avoid eye infections sties, lip sores or herpes sores and other unsightly infections that can lead you to the dermatologist or ophthalmologist.

Her article regarding the OFWs just made her the center of attraction. The name "Malu Fernandez" is now on the hotseat and everybody's looking forward to her articles. That could be the reason why Manila Standard took her back, that means more SALES!!
