The H & K MK23 is a .45 acp pistol na magamit nimo maski underwater ka . Although lahi ang version sa Navy and ang available sa civilian .

Ironically, the Mk23 was designed for SOCOM use -- specifically, NSW. Pero ultimately NSW found the civilian version to be more favorable to use in their type of mission.

    But that's another topic.

Wiki has a nice article about this. I'd like to add the mag capacity -- 10 rnds for the civi version and 12 rnds for the Mil/LE.

According to the Operators Manual, there are few differences between the civilian Mark 23 and the government MK23. These differences are the slide engraving ("Mark 23" instead of "MK23 USSOCOM") and a barrel conforming to SAAMI headspace specifications.

There was also a discussion about this weapon in the US Navy SEAL thread on MilitaryPhotos.net, and the one giving out information and answering questions was an ex-SEAL himself (Matchanu).
