as in BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, thanks anyway chanbri. i figured it out, that my processor is overheating, it happened 3 times already, BSOD only comes out when i play games but with everything else its fine.
i cleaned the fan and i noticed my laptop is cooler now, after giving it a break and using cotton buds to clean the fan area. hoping it wont happen again,

@chanbri btw did u ever find the cds ur looking for? im sure u can download it on the net somewhere. i feel bad that i havent synced the palm in months, even if my gf is using it (kinda ignorant when it comes to tech,)

i started my dell laptop one time and this error comes up
generic host process win 32 serivces error.
this error has something to dow with svc host 32.

il always comes up and makes the computer very slow and hardly boots up
i did a virus scan and anti spyware scan and nothing!

please help, i dont want to reformat the laptop since i havent backed it up

also system restore doesnt work..

ok what i did instead was reinstall windows and i still have all my files..must have been something to do with my shutting down the laptop coz i remember i turned off the laptop and before it shut down, i closed it, and when i close it, its suppose to go on standby...so maybe the error could be there? i backed up all my files after i reinstalled windows, twuz one heck of a job but i think it fixed the problem. its been 3 days now...

I thought so. Hehe... At least I have no plans of installing Windows on my 17inch Powerbook. I have a Windows desktop anyway.

Right. I don't think you would need windows if your using a mac osx. supported na man sa mac ang mga windows apps except lang sa ActiveX. and besides, daghan "out of the box" features/apps ang mac na wala sa windows. that means gamay ra na 3rd party apps imo kinahanglan i-dungag (that is if u really want to get a lil more from ur mac). u won't need any antivirus software and so far i haven't experienced any instance that my mac has crashed. and also, i can use it to connect to our network in our office. downside lang, u won't be satisfied if you're a game r. i've been using windows since i first put my hands on a pc and i've been introduced to mac osx for a year now, pero mas comfortable ko sa mac (maybe coz i'm not a gamer). well, as what they said previously, depende man pod na sa ato preference. windows could also be better in some ways.

btw, i'm using MacBook Pro 15" i bought it a few months back here in UAE (pro made in china ang tatak! ahak oy!).
