Maybe Sin came in when the "soul" starts to seek its own identity. He wants to explore who he is.

Now the soul is concious,came... I EXIST then I AM THIS/THAT then I OWN THIS/THAT then came identification then conceptualization then labelling.

you missed one point, evolution is a theory. it's not an absolute truth.
with Pope Joe the"Rat" however he is the is second pope to believe in evolution. Evolution is a theory. It doesn't ask people to believe in it.

Intillegent Design? ........Design is just that it is a combination of science and art. An engineer/architect who "designs" bridges and buildings would and "should" employ intelligent design (as opposed to dumb/stupid design) or else, disaster would follow. Certainly, that crap called Intelligent Design is something which should be learn by people who dream of designing something, unfortunately, only the science part (in construction deals with soil composition, strength of construction materials, wind velocity, etch etc) is the only thing which can be learned from reading books of theoretical concepts and emperical/statistical data, the art part (usability/functionality, aesthetic beauty, actual construction process, dealing with hard headed workers) will be learned through years of experience. So what's the big deal on Intelligent Design again?

Original sin may have came in when the Soul also came in. The Soul makes man man. Man is different from other animals by kind and not by degree. That although Man is a product of evolution, he would not be what he is without the introduction of the Soul during this evolutionary process. This can be located between the Life and Thought stage in Chardin's Le Phenomene Humain.

I think imbento lang na' ang original sin sa atong religion...

It could be a symbolism that we are born into this world separated from God and it is not enough that we do nothing. We need to do something good to be reunited with Him.

The whole Genesis for me is another symbolism...

If you step back and take a look at things....the world is now round thanks to astrology.... shroud of Turin is fake thanks to carbon dating... The book of Revelation was actually written by the Prophet John in reference to the Roman Empire's oppression at the time (not as a prediction of the end of the world) .

Sooner or later man will discover new things and the church will again have to reinterpret the bible according to the times.

The only constant in our universe is change.... religion is not exempt from that. Infact it has gone through a lot of changes from the time of Constantine to the Inquisition, Dark Ages, Crusades and now. And ... (Yes... our religion Killed People in the name of God before yet we are surprised when Muslims do it).

i dont think wiki is the best way to do it. not only being limited, it is also inaccurate. I dont think you cant wiki de chardin that is why if you want an info on this just read his Le Phenomene Humain. the phenomenon of man. its an easy read.
