What is the best brand of speakers.....

i currently have a altec lansing 2.1 speakers... the generic ones that cost around 3k. colored black with the thin satellites.

I need help... i'm planning to get speakers with a budget of 10k... any suggestions? kanang pwede napud mada sa gawas. dili lang indoor.

also, if you're really serious with music, do you need to get a new sound card? is it really worth replacing the one integrated on the motherboard?

As for the soundcard part, yes ana ka dako ang difference from integrated audio.. if you want the best currently its creative's X-Fi series.. i personally use the X-Fi extreme music and based on my experiece when i changed to this card it felt like a speaker upgrade rather than a soundcard upgrade.. im currently using altec 621 series.

As for speakers morag wala koy ma recommend ana na price range.. theres really no decent 10k speakers as compared to the 3~6k models.. ang next in line sa ana is the 17~22k sets..

weed: i'm not trying to post on the most expensive..you started the price tag sir. =)

i haven't listened maggies though but i'm sure with that size...i'm sure it will bring inside the movie or whatever you're watching..hehehe

i did listen on focal speakers..my brothers' cars are in focal speakers. and my father in law has a 6.1 focal speaker setup on his home theater system.

what i like about focal is..they are more into the quality of sound. Up to the tiniest pin drop or stones shattered (Matrix Lobby scene). The speaker can pick up the sound. =)

I did hear B&W and bose speakers for home theaters. I can still say focal is better. =)

Talking about your Spharon...thats one hellava speaker...i mean "SPEAKER"

Naka audition nasad ko ug focal made and bose, mas nindot gyud ang focal and its actually cheaper than bose. altho bose gagmay gyud kaayo ang speakers..they can be easily stealthed around the HT room

i think i saw this in audionet ayala... mga 10k man tingali ni. ok kaha ni? Altec Lansing 5021. 90 watts. 50 watts ang subwoofer.



not really interested in 5.1 though... i feel you only need a 5.1 system kung nhan ka mag hometheater. pero music raman gyud ni akoa.

what i really want are speakers that also sound DECENT outdoors (using my mp3 player)... dili pud ingon murag discohan. I currently have Altec's obsolete ATP3. Pang-indoor raman gud siya. Hinay kayo kung outdoor. 30 watts raman ni. 12 sa sat, 18 sa woofer.

Whoa whoa whoa. Are you guys trying to compare speakers at different points of view? So far as what I've read from weedmeister's setups, it's mostly an audiophile's setup while djereza's into the whole movie scene.

LOL, you guys are never going to agree on anything, well, except to disagree. hahaha.

I'm into home theatre myself. I'm afraid those 6-figure setups are out of reach if I'm to make one here in the Philippines. Right now, for my small room, I'm looking into some Wharfdales. They're pretty decent for small rooms and entry-level to mid setups. Accurate sounds reproduction up to the smallest detail. A pair of front speakers LR would be about 9k. Rear speakers is another 8-9k. Center is somewhere around 5k. The subwoofer, actually I'm planning to go for another brand so it might be a little expensive..probably around 15k.

audition the 5012 with an ipod using your favorite music. check lang if you want the sound quality of it.

for outdor 621 or 641 is the best i think. it can REALLY scream!
