Veteran is pretty hardcore with no lean. It's unrealistic to me. Playing the game right now XD

This has been the easiest CoD at veteran and no CoD has ever had lean. If you want lean, you want R6.

This pretty much explains it. CoD 2 also has lean. I can't remember if the original CoD had lean but I guess there is. CoD 3? dunno, that game was a disaster.

Also it's kinda funny if the USMC had a no lean policy, where Al-Qaeda can freely lean and pick targets on close encounters. You can't lean, but your enemies can.

Ok my bad, I guess the other CoDs had lean. But then there is the other issue about the realism of having no lean. First off, it's a video game. You want realism? Join the military. I kinda know the military. Just a bit.

Secondly, grab an assault rifle, hug a wall, now lean out while aiming down the sights. Now fire that assault rifle while leaning. Think about it. That is far from realistic and physically not possible without getting your face blown off or your back ****ed up. The view you get while leaning in games is more of a head peak and would only be realistic if your character puts his gun down and takes a look briefly to get his bearings on his enemies' location. Any maneuver that a marine performs that requires him to shoot is not performed while leaning. That is just bad gun use. Marines look, spot their target, pop-up then shoot. I'm sure any trained military does the same. Al Qaeda can do whatever they want. Half the time they don't even look at what they are shooting at. Maybe when there is an Al Qaeda point of view, to be more realistic, they can randomly jump the impact reticle around and not give you sights at all allowing you to only fire from your hip. Hey at least it's realism ... amiright?

Also, lean in multiplayer using halfway decent people also gets you a bullet to your face.

I have to agree with the assault rifle + lean thingy. But the main reason why I prefer lean a lot is because you get to know the visual of an area, probably even the location where your enemy is. That's already a big advantage to you.

You don't lean out in an area where every inch of it is full of bullets. You change routes.

Well yeah, If you want realism, you can join the military. But that doesn't mean you have to, there's AA3 and R6, plenty of respawn points though.

i actually find lean very useful in COD4 and CODWAW. specially when countersniping or flanking a camper. but thats just me.
