Ilisi ang tanang suspect caps poy.
Cge, Sir. T.Y. Kaayo. Wa pa lagi Caps ika ilis oi. Hehehe.
bro, check ang warranty bro.. IBM usually have 3 years warranty for servers.
Daghan nangutana via private message kon unsaon pag-determine kon dautan ba ang HDD:
i-partition by FDISK then i-format.
kon dili moungot in either step as above, it's a good HDD (or no physical bad sectors).
that's the best QC of an HDD, esp. when followed by Scandisk to determine if there are "hard-to-read" sectors.
of course, there are specialized tools to repair HDD but when it comes to end-user testing there's no fancy about it, and the 3 tools mentioned above are very much adequate already for end users.
How about this problem that I experienced boss: Kung master and HDD, mag windows protection error siya. kung ako siya i-slave sa windows 2k OS HDD, ma detect siya sa bios pero inig load na sa windows, mokaging pero dili gyud mo hang kay malihok pa man nako ang mouse ug ang keyboard pero paabot pa lagi ka pila ka minutes. Then kalit mogawas ang message (translated)"ako daw giremove ang HDD Model STXXXX without using safely remove hardware option" where in fact wala gyud koy gitandog. I tried it many times...mao gyud problem. adto ko sa "my computer" nawala na and slave nga drive after mogawas ang message" unsay possible problem aning HDD? thanks!
Logical errors na bro. If there's no important data, re-partition then re-format.
If problem still persists, do a true LLF (or low-level-format) then zero-fill. Then re-partition and re-format as usual.
The Data are very important that's why i'm trying to recover it. I tried to reboot in a bootable disk and only Drive C cant be read. The other partitions are just okay(the Disk is partitioned to 4).Reformating and re-partitioning is my last option...I'm asking if there is still another method you know (because you are very good in HDD & Mobo) to recover the data in drive C. or any software that you can recommend. thanks!
Since you have very important data in it, I strongly advise you not to tinker with that HDD further. Else you may render the data totally unrecoverable.
But if you still would want to tinker with it and try to recover data yourself, clone it first to another same capacity HDD and use the cloned HDD for your recovery attempts.
And since the FAT in Drive C is also corrupted, you can try FDISK /mbr command to reconstruct the boot sector. But do this at your own risk, and this method doesn't work if it's an NTFS partition.
You can also try Hard Drive Mechanic Gold Edition to restore corrupted partition and FAT.
You can also try Ontrack EasyRecovery Professional v6.0 under Windows, and go for RAW RECOVERY if you fail to reconstruct the FAT.
If all else fails, I'm just a text away to help you recover your data.
musta?
naa tko hrd disk plno nko paau nimo, pila man charge kaha?
reply asap
daghan salamat
