Having more processors is beneficial if you are running more than 1 thread. This is good for servers that caters to many clients.

But if you are using it as a workstation/client PC, 2 processors maybe enought.
Unless you are ripping a video, playing one, crunching numbers or compiling a program at the same time.
Having 4 running long processes at the same time is seldom to happen.
