I still go for the thermal paste used in electronic manufacturing ovens.
This thermal pase made it to the Manila Times today

i've read different articles somewhere wherein generic Thermalright paste that comes with Thermalright's cooler packages bests AS5, and MX-2 also beating AS5. Also local review (?) where STG1 also beats AS5.
My only problem with AS-5 is that it will stick to the processor and heatsink. You need to buy Artic solvent to remove it.... so DOBLE GASTO
so that is why I am more inclined to buy the Zalman.
TX2 also doesnt have this problem, and if you read the review, it retains is moisture very well assuring a more cool Processor for the longest possible time.
With very small differences it will all boil down to pricing. So we will see how much it will really cost.
Not true, Been using AS1,AS3 & AS5 a simple applicatio of alcohol or acetone removes it completely. if you mean the tarnish that is left then that is common for all pastes placed on a copper based heatsink.Originally Posted by ajol
Id be willing to move to TX2 if its lower priced, since its the same as the MX2 that im currently using and almost running out on 1 tubeOriginally Posted by muzikfreakah
It will be less than 400 pesos each![]()
why did Artic silver also sell a solvent removerOriginally Posted by EarlZ

Its the silver that is causing the problem...... UNSAY Not true.... go back to Chemistry....
Mao na silver although its highly conductive.... but it has its disadvantage..... this is the disadvantage... it will stick and react with other metals....
Acetone or alcohol removes it COMPLETELY? i have seen in the world wide web a lot of artic silver users showing what happens to their heatsink or processor thermal spreader..... that is why artic silver came out with their own solvent remover because users of AS were complaining.....
