i can't explain the feeling really. serenity. calm. contentment. sentimentality..
but i always think, gee.. those stars. those are the same stars that socrates, plato, perseus, cleopatra, marco polo, columbus, Jesus, galileo, alexander the great, confucius, genghis khan, hitler, constantine, vincent van gogh (who else? dami eh!) have looked upon centuries ago. amazing isn't it?

Honestly star gazing gives me mixed emotions. It makes me realize how little I know, makes me feel so small, so vulnerable, a dot on a dot. It's scary and exciting, like adrenaline. On the other hand it wipes out questions like "who am I?" "what am I?" Every time I notice myself asking those questions, I just find myself stopping for some reason, as if somewhere deep inside me a voice spoke very calmly and it said "you are, you are" - I AM. The whole universe would seem to echo with those words in a mesmerizing singsong; until I lose myself and become insignificant, and then I get bloated and become the universe itself. You see how somewhat "dizzying" it is? First I feel very small, then very BIG. It's scary in its strangeness. Though for the life of me, I don't think I ever looked at the stars, and didn't feel loved. Kung naa koy problema, I look at the stars and start crying. Feeling nako naay naminaw ug nakasabot. Someone.. something.. very very old, and gentle.
