Used to live in Seattle, we would go up north to Vancouver once a month kay naa may dako na filipino community didto, daghan ug Cebuanos. I stayed with a friend sa Burnaby, Filipinos come driving from Coquitlam, Surrey, richmond etc. I'd have to say similar to Seattle there are a lot of greens, if you like the outdoors, good food, nice friendly people id say thumbs up for Vancouver. Oh and Try the chinese food in Richmond Yummmmm, these are immigrants from Hong Kong that settled in Canada. Downside people are learning about Vancouver real estate is getting expensive.

i live in seattle now but before moving here, i lived in vancouver for almost 2 years. seattle doesn't even comes close to vancouver. for all the sushi lovers out there, they've got the best fish. my husband is spoiled na coz he can't enjoy less than par sushi since trying out vancouver's offerings. best japanese restaurant has got to be yohachi sushi in north vancouver.
i miss just catching the bus and having a conversation with the person beside me... even though that's the first time i saw that person. i miss shopping and while waiting in line, chatting with other shoppers waiting to check out their purchases. i hate to say it but americans are rude and ill-mannered. totally unlike canada's courteous and friendly people.
i could go on and on about that city!
Suprisingly my stay in Seattle was good, didnt come across ill mannered and rude people, amazing changes coming from the other side of the border. But I love the two cities both Vancouver and Seattle. my 2cents
