linksys akong gamit bro.
although i'm no expert on networking computers... civil engineer ko for God's sake... pero napakabit nako ang tanan nako internet gadgets nako.
here's my current set-up
internet -> modem -> router 1 (linksys befsr41)-> router 2 (wireless linksys wrt54g)
i think your set-up would be:
internet -> modem -> wireless router
akong gihimo is gi-ilis lang nako ang address ani niya. (wala ko kahibao sa correct term)
here it goes:
192.168.1.1 - modem
192.168.2.1 - router 1
192.168.3.1 - router 2 (wireless)
ang imo murag wala internet because:
192.168.1.1 - modem
192.168.1.1 - router (wireless)
dili man na sila makaconnect because conflict man. no need to change brands bro. just configure it properly and you will be all set.
I hope this helps...
problema nako is unsa-on nako ug pa-port forward sa akong router... kana wala ko kahibao unsa-on...
pareho ta tanan ug set-up bro. globe broadband pud to. murag si mindless man ang expert gyud ani sa networking.
the ip address range is in conflict with that of the modems ip range. change the following:
1. internet connection type - automatic dhcp
2. router IP from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.2.1
3. save settings
4. re-acquire IP by typing "ipconfig /renew" at start > run
i can configure ur router for u. just bring it with you and meet me at ayala bos coffee tomorrow at 4pm. or call or txt me at 0917626O646 i can walk u thru.

yeah, brand has got nothing to do with it. it's how you set it up and the router's basic features. (which are similar with most routers)
Linksys SUCKs gyud... mao ni tie-up sa cisco para mabuhi... netgear or dlink for reliability....
