goodluck bro...
Fish speaks the truth, Ive experienced that same problem.. TWICE!
better change it nlang yaw hulata mubuto mao na ako latest encounter sa PSU nako niaso lang kalit sad human ug tingog2x..
Better replace nalang ug PSU...
Its the Fan of the PSu ang cause anang sound bro, better change it with another one
better to determine first if its from the fan or the PSU itself maybe an external plastic that you use to tie your PSU wires got tangled with the fan. Cause PSUs alone won't cause clicking sound Maybe a humming sound its possible but clicking sound i'm sure its the fan.
But if something is tangled inside the fan better to have that looked at the seller since opening psu might void the warranty.
u didn't say what the capacity of your UPS is. what is the VA?
when you're playing heavy games, you're almost maxing out the wattage of ur 550 psu.
and 550 is not actual wattage, it's more like 520 watts.
so it's either your PSU or UPS that's barely coping with the load.
to test it:
remove ur UPS, if u don't hear a click then it's ur UPS. if you do, then it's ur PSU.
(fans don't click or tick, relays do)
iv tried changing UPS and AVR pero naa ragyapon ang sound so definitely ang psu gyud naa problem. ive called the store and they are willing to replace the unit. i will send the unit back on Jan. 2 right after the new year vacation.
this is the model of my psu and link pud. http://www.pcbodega.com/prod_details.php?id=4241
dili kaayo ko sweto sa mga specs ug psu bro, ako lang gisiguro before ko nipalit ani sa una nga kaya ra niya mupadalagan sa ako video card and other parts.. in which im sure nga kaya ra niya and ok rapud ni siya sukad gipalit. karon lang jud ni cya ga ingani unya murag pareha mi ni earlz.
whether or not the fans are making the noise or something else ba, one thing im sure is that gikan jud sa psu ang tingog.
ok, just replace ur psu with a new one while it's still under warranty. try changing to a different brand if you can.
basically you can identify that clicking sound. If its fan blade hitting an object then continuous na and sound. But if its the switching circuit, then sporadic ra na or burst clicks.
If its the second scenario, your pc power requirement might have gone beyond what your PSU can provide.
First thing, did you size up your power requirement?
