I don't care if souls are real or not. No one can tell if souls are real... not even the bible. It's just a book.

Mao gyud nay sinugdan sa panagbangi...that's why we need to define what a soul is as they have many references in other religions. The most common or the strongest link to it by far (as far is I know) is the concept of afterlife or the departing/desertion of a once material existence of THE FORMER MAN to another form of existence.

For the materialist, the definition of a soul maybe consciousness or self-awareness. Others refer a soul to be an "inner voice" that serves as a moral compass for man to do whatever, to his best judgment, is good or acceptable.

Maybe we need to have a common ground as to what constitutes a soul to make a good exchange.

With all these technologies and science is getting more advanced, what do you think about cloning? First off, science is started cloning animals... the next thing we know, they are cloning humans... really functional humans that live, breath, eat, sleep, reproduce, work, feels pain and oh not to mention... the will to worship and the will not to worship.
p.s. by the way, it does not limit to humans only.
