Lindows is a linux OS capable of running windows applications. Longhorn is the next OS by 2005. Currently is in alpha stage. Sometimes alpha stage perform well to some users but generally they dont.

I have tried both OS, they are all fine to me. Cant compare them because Lindows is now in gold while the other is in alpha.

Longhorn won't be released til 2007 at the earliest as some of the WinHEC articles seem to indicate.

The previews I've read about Longhorn in WinHEC have failed to impress me.. I'm ok with Linux and WinXP right now.. I'm not excited about Longhorn at all..

Any Longhorn reviews out hardly reflect the final product. What everyone is seeing are just hacked up copies of Windows XP. Call it Longhorn Alpha ... keyword being Alpha.

Longhorn is a long ways off, so i'd hold off on any opinion about it.
