I agree. The impeachment case was supposed to be the safety valve of the Arroyo administration. Now pent up emotions of people needs to be released.

These military men are honorable people. They are taught at the PMA the Code of Honor, honesty and integrity. It is but natural for them to resist dishonesty and corruption in government. This answers the question why the Philippines is prone to coups. Our military men have a high sense of honor and pride. Ramos chided the PMA for producing adventurist officers but the old man forgot siguro that unlike the Philippines, the US government is not as corrupt as the Philippines. In more general terms, the politicians of the US are honest and law abiding and ready enough to resign from their jobs once they are embroiled into a contoversy. unlike here in the Philippines, a politician who is caught with his hand in the cookie jar still insist and shamelesly perpetuate themeselves in power even if they already have zero credibility to lead the country.

- PMA .... yes they were tought of WHAT is HONOR , HONESTY and INTEGRITY but not to practice it . The academy is a dreaded breeding ground for future CORRUPT leaders both in government and military .

I think bai in PMA they were taught to WHAT and to PRACTICE HONOR, HONESTY and INTEGRITY... it is just when they go out to the field and forgot their idealism... as what you've said before kong dili ka mo sip2x dili ka mo promote. It's not the PMA that did not teach them to be HONEST, HONORABLE and to have INTEGRITY it is the AFP which has involve in too much politics. Mo sip2x og maau sa presidente para dungagan ang rank.

As Willie Revillame would say, Tumpak! The AFP is a highly corrupt establishment now. I admired them during the last days of Marcos because they finally wake up from slumber and stand up to the abuses of the dictator.

Now, I think they are back to their old selves. Willing lackeys to a corrupt administration.

Yeah going back to the topic, to hell to those mutineers! why is it that they were given special attention? FS!.. wherein we have more problems than them? can they solve our political and economic problems in a a form mutiny? Jeez the people behind it are the opposition obviosly ask Manong Meceda and it should be investigated.. I remember there were recovered evidence like the disk drive that contains information regarding the marterplan to bring down the government.. those young officers should be submitted for court martial!
