as long as intel doesnt totally kill off amd, i think it's a good thing.. competition is good for the end consumer, without it, there would be no core 2 duo today, intel grew complacent back then and produced their shitty p4 and dual core procs, which the amd64 chips totally wiped the floor with, now AMD is on the floor. All in all it's good for me, it's good for us.

Monopoly act just like rocketing to boycott the competitors = Losing Consumer and Company

well, i did not bought my chip because it is intel. i bought it because of the features it has. if for some reason there would be a "generic" processor aside from intel and amd that is faster and more economical then why bother go for intel and amd procs if that's the case... i go for what it can offer and not who made it. i am an AMD fanboy but i'm using C2D E6600 right now...
