Henry Sy is lucky at the time of his struggle, there were few monopolist in the industry. Henry Sy is thankful at the time of his struggles, there were lesser corrupt officials. Henry Sy is lucky, most Filipinos during his time are honest.
In a way the environment when Sy ascended is different now.
