Try to replace the cable...Usually I'll plug my external devices at the back of the system unit. So I have no problem.

Yep. Usually the cable. Mahilis ang contact point sa cge ibot/plug.
Katong error kay USB related... not HDD.

USB data lines are differential pairs. That's the Inner pins. The two outer pins are GND and +5V.
Four things.
First. Check that your drive really gets a +5V. Considering that your rig had detected an unknown device, it might be something related with supply.
Second. Check whether the board controller is working. It might be that the USB controller still works but the board controller for the drive is malfunctioning.
Third. Check your drive.
Fourth. Check your USB port and the driver of the mobile drive.

inig open nako ug device manager, uknown device siya, nganong kinanglan man ko mag driver, cge man ko connect ani nga dili kinanglan ug driver,
sorry wala pa nako na try replace ang cable, unya kong maka huwam ko e try nako
