I'm surprised Adobe Photoshop hasn't gone 64 bit, considering that it is an application that could really use it.

It's the 64 bit version of XP. Majority of applications will run on it, HOWEVER, many DO NOT.

Most antivirus already run on x64, majority of antispyware, not yet.

Vista is 64bit standard already that can run any 32bit programs. im not sure about xp tho coz mine is only 32bit

Ahem. While many programs will run on Vista x64, many 32 bit programs still have compatibility issues. Spyware Doctor, for example, will not run on 64 bit.

Before upgrading to 64 bit Vista then, make sure all the programs you need will run on it. I suggest buying a Vista upgrade package that has both 32 bit and 64 bit installations. Hard to find in the P.I., though.

I'm sticking to XP x64 for now. When I can afford the hardware to run my Bioshock (not to mention Crysis) on DX10, THEN I'll upgrade to Vista x64. :mrgreen: Woohoo!

The only reason why you would care is if you have around 4gigs of RAM. I believe 32bit XP only detects around 3.5gigs. Vista has the same problem. All 32 bit operating systems have the same problem.

May I know sir, what are you pointing that all 32bit OS have the same problem?
