a simple look at who devours most of the world's resources tells us that the analogy is right.

"with less than 5 % of the global population, (the US) uses about a quarter of the world’s fossil fuel resources—burning up nearly 25 % of the coal, 26 % of the oil, and 27 % of the world’s natural gas." (http://www.worldwatch.org/node/810)

"the United States of America is the world's largest consumer in absolute terms. For a list of 20 major traded commodities, it takes the greatest share of 11 of them: corn, coffee, copper, lead, zinc, tin, aluminum, rubber, oil seeds, oil and natural gas. For many more it is the largest per-capita consumer." (http://atlas.aaas.org/index.php?part=2)

kick that american out of the island and those asians will die. the problem with the developing countries in asia is that they cant manage themselves. just like our country, were a sick person dextrosed by america. if america leaves us, then were dead. it maybe sad but its the truth.

    not at all.

what the US provides is grossly outweighed by what it takes away. in global economics, sure it provides markets for many of our raw materials, but it also controls how world trade works, through free, but imbalanced and unfair trade. it promotes underdevelopment in LDC's (less developed countries) so that cheap labor would be readily available for its MNC's and TNC's (multi-national and trans-national companies) it structures the world economy in skewered way wherein the most of the world's resources is consumed by a very few.

to be "dead" if US leaves us is quite absurd. we're already dying with everything that it is trying to impose on us.

unless, of course, if we have learned to worship the very chains that binds us...

could you please site some examples of unfair trading?
we've got cheap labor here not because of the us, but because we have low demand. they are consuming more natural resources because they have a high demand and we are exporting many of our resources because we have low demand for them. what shall we do with our copper if we dont export them? if we dont export our resources, it will cause a collapse in the business sector in our country because we are producing more than the demand. it will bring prices of commodities down which will result in bankruptcy of businesses which will then result to a hyper inflation. the developed countries also expierenced this before during the "great depression in the 1920's". There was a big surplus of skilled workers but the demand is dwindling down. mines are closing down because nobody is using their products anymore. bank exectives became fruit vendors because banks were bankrupt due to non payment of loans and unemployment skyrocketed the its highest level. the law of supply of demand should be followed because its not just a theory, but a law.

the economy of korea, taiwan and malaysia also depended on the us but why are they successful today? all i can say that the us is not to be blamed by our misfortunes but ourselves.

china? id rather be a slave to the us than to china. why? just compare how chinese and american employers treat their employees. the chinese are the ones who are practice unfairness. they pay you less than the minimum wage and worse without benefits.

if the chinese will kick the american, who will use their products? themselves? do you think most of them who are earning 1000 pesos a month can afford their products (those with good quality not the ones sold here).

the video shows a fair analogy...pero wrong conclusion and kulang...why? the asians don't have to kick the american out for a better life. the american has to pay the 6 asians for the food in some other way, like instead of just having a job to eat, he should have built a shelter for all and keeping it maintained...
