What can you say of some of the artist today that doesn't have origanlity

Every work of an artist is an original it's just that someone must consider their work to be called an art.

I wouldn't say "EVERY" work ... Just like what OnL did with PINOY AKO, I would never call that Original.

btw, in direct contrast to my post above, metallica was criticized for making their "greatest hits" album a few years back. stating that perhaps metallica is running out of ideas. metallica's answer was a very sweet: "hello? that's the whole idea, to release our greatest hits, sheesh!" so maybe some artists can still be considered original even when playing old songs. kinda like dance music, they're all redone, rehashed, re-whatever to sound different. but the important thing is that it should sound at least a tad different to connote their own interpretation, thus, vindicating them from mere copycatism.

How about mga SIKAT na ug SUCCESSFUL na artist and they do REVIVALS ? Do you guys in the muisc industry consider it a FAKE ? A copycat ? Guns and Roses did it , P.Diddy , Eminem , 2PAC , Mariah Carey and many more to name .

Or lahi na ang covering songs sa revival ? All I know kay it boils down to NON ORIGINALITY kay naa man gi basehan ... ebven PAROKYA ni EDGAR kay majority sa ilang mga kanta is matawag ug revival slash ilisan ug lyrics .

Saludo gyud ko sa mga original composers ... Bai EZRA ... kana TALENT gyud na .
