yeah pretty much anyone getting a PS3 would have a (slim, for dual-layer games) PS2, and would not need the backward compatibility. It's software based anyway, so there are chances your games simply won't run.

I saw a bunch of PS3 sitting at Circuit City. I didn't look at the prices though.

mahal didto kai official warranty man ang metro... dili mana mo depreciate ilang price diha....ang mga appliance nila 1 year warranty gyud na mau nga mahal gihapon after so many months last nako kita sa ilang PS3 is 60K

in Manila its 27k for the 80gb asian plus 1 controller + 2 games, then pag Nov mo abot nasad ang 40Gb version around 5k cheaper

bro, the 40Gb version will not have backward compatible with PS2 titles but will it still be able to upscale DVD movies? plays SACD?
