Actually your OS is corrupted that is why it prompts you an error. Then that smss.exe isn't a virus. This is an executable file which is part of Windows OS. If you end this process this executable in Task Manager you will see th result all programs won't work.

then tan-awa kung unsa na file iya gi autostart
nya restart para di mudagan ig next restart
sa folder option, ipa show ang hidden files then uncheck ang hide protected operating system files
then ayaw double click sa drive sa my computer kay maka trigger na sa autorun.inf nga mu padagan sa mga virus
right click explore, pangitaa nang autorun.inf, open with notepad para makita nimo unsa iya gipadagan
ipang delete rato nga mga file

ngee, format is not the answer oi, for this kind of issue easy raman ni , adto kag lain comp, search lng ani na virus naa available software para mupatay ana, then ko to safe mode if kaya if not , boot ka Recovery console para ma repair now heheh sorry libog ha, naka suway manko ani gud , na solve raman nako

makaremove ni ang AVG bro. tried ko manual remove ani na virus pero mblik kay dili dungan pagremove sa mga files so AVG nlg ako gigamit kay former antivirus ko dili ka remove ani. sa flashdrive ni gikan.

try nimu reinstall/repair imu OS then scan ka balik Updated AVG nimu. then be sure to have registry fixing software aron malimpyohan imu registry entries caused by the virus.

if nahan ka kita sa mga virus, unhide files/system files then mkita na nimu sa imu drive ang mga virus files: services.exe, smss.exe,auto.exe,<username>.exe
naa pud sa windows folder pero kalimot ko unsa na filename. ang usa .com and ang usa kay .ini

reformat is not always the solution... murag easy way out lg na ba...

AVG akong anti virus a2 bro, cge ko malusotan virus sa AVG. KArn ni shift nko norton. Ni try nko ana bro, murag sa registry jd to ni pilit ang virus. di kau ko kbaw mo repair na bsta naa na sa registry like sa ka2 gamesetup.exe kay sa registry mo sud nya mo apil sa startup pero di man makita sa list.
