Well, those files you have of mine are very downgraded. Hehehe.

I don't know what some others use but I use Sony Vegas 6.0 it can be used in rendering files in different formats, bit rates, sizes, etc.

    Jomark and Cardinal:
Will these be shown in Salida?

    OT:
Just asking... I still have to buy a prosumer old camcorder and i'm wodering if i can capture the same focus style as with the pictures above. Will a manual focus give a similar shot like a 35mm lens? I've read about 35mm adaptors to capture these kind of Short DOF shots, but i was hoping I can achieve this through a normal camcorder. Thanks... and hope to see your shorts soon!

Jomark or Pnoize may confirm but I'm almost certain the two new ones Kadauwan and Sila will be shown...

I also hope we can see the films of Ralf Tamayo along with them...

Some consumer video cameras provide manual level of control particularly on exposure and focus. This is necessary in achieving the shallow depth of field as with the screenshots posted above. Other factors such as lighting, the distance of the camera from the subject and the size of the vidcamera chip are to be considered in acquiring this depth of field effect.

Some video camera makers such as Canon and Panasonic are known to provide manual controls for their consumer cameras. Sony consumer cameras provide only the basic control suited for the non-geek crowd.

However, 35mm lens provides greater control for this kind of shots and adaptors are already available so that a 35mm lens can be fitted to a video camera. The price tag is overwhelming though.

The above screenshot was taken from the footage of Sony VX2000, a prosumer video camera.

If you can find time to join one of SineBuano's meeting we would be more than glad to help you "set up" your camera for that kind of shot.

    Have a nice day.

    Oh, great info!
Yup, i'd love to join Sinebuano, just waiting for meeting invitations.
Great Sony VX2000, thats real pro equipment.
Sorry, i was referring to consumer camcorder, and i was thinking of buying Sony, but the one i'm eyeing on has a manual focus ring so i hope it'll do some trick.
Thanks again and hope to see your shorts!!!
