my pc is now running without MS ANTISPY WARE for almost a week now and i still keep my finger cross that what he said hopes to be true.
i just respect his opinion.
any comment?
i think that technician is misinformed or just too lazy to do his homework.
I have MS antispyware on my computer for several months now and have had no problems with it.
A growing threat are Rootkit that installs and hides in your OS. It's virtually undetectable.
Try to install Rootkit Revealer (http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilitie...tRevealer.html)
and Blacklight (http://www.f-secure.com/blacklight/) to see if you got Rootkits in your System.
not for the end user.Originally Posted by archille

effective kaayo ang XOFTSPY nga gi install ni galvin sa ako PC  as in tang-tang gyud ang mga bwisit sa ako PC!
Here's my style: when making internet dialer always put the firewall option on. Your download may be slowler but you would be FREE from intrusions by trojan and browser hacks.
Coupled with a anti-virus and anti-spy ware, you would be safe.
you can also use PeerGuardian to block known ip addresses that serves adware, spyware and ip addresses that belong to major companies in the music and movie industries. (if you're using P2P software, you'll be amazed which of these companies are trying to check on your PC!!! hala mo!!! hehehe)
always keep firewall and antivir ON and Updated
use legit softwares
browse legit websites
if possible, stay away from p2p aps.
regularly diagnose your pc
