i agree with you, except for transportation...
the jeepney fare is definitely more expensive in Manila than in Cebu (as mentioned by others here)
and taxi drivers in Manila don't always give you change... they round off their fare, unlike here in Cebu where they will even give you cents for change if needed...

Food prices are expensive. Almost the same as Cebu. You can still find carinderias here nga rice + ulam at 30 pesos. Mas daghan lang fancy restaurants diri.

Transportation fare is pricy. 7 pesos minimum sa jeepney. The problem with Manila lang in general is if you commute daghan rides to get from point A to B. Kay super restricted and short and routes sa mga jeeps, so in general mapahal ka sa transpo fare. Case in point from Taft to Domestic Airport which roughly less than 2km, you have to take three jeepney rides to get from one point to the other.

It is dirty and noisy. WRONG. Like all big cities, it has its share of noisiness. But a big portion surprisingly is very sub urban ang environs.

    The salaries are high. CORRECT.
In general for the same job performed elsewhere in the country, mas dako sueldo in Manila. But the cost of living is also just as expensive.

The rental fees of room or business offices are high. CORRECT. For grade A offices yes. But mas daghan options diri. You can rent a 1,000/month bedspace or go all the way to a fully furnished studio apartment for 12K/month. It's a matter of choice.

A 25,000 peso salary is not enough. WRONG.

It's all in the lifestyle. A lot of people living just above the minimum wage have managed to thrive here.

The people speak good English and correct pronunciation. CORRECT.
At least the people I interact with, but then again I work with people from Ateneo, La Salle and UP. But for the rest I guess it goes the same with Cebu. Apart from graduates of USC and UP the majority don't really speak good English as well.

it all depends where you buy your supply... if you want good quality cheap vegetables and kakanin, you can try going to the Lung Center during Sunday mornings where they have a talipapa there until noon
the vegetables, tinapa, and even the food are really wet market prices and good quality pa!

    Food prices are expensive. Wrong.
I work in Global City, Fort Bonifacio and stayed in Makati.

    Transportation fare is pricy. Wrong.
Almost pareha lang ang transpo.. P7 min.. Kung layo imo office, mas madak-an ka pamasahe kay putol-putol man biyahe.. mga 2 to 3 rides bisag duul lang... so gasto jud.. mas maayu walking distance ka sa imo puy-anan..

Pero MRT/LRT very efficient way of transpo.. Kung wala tingali MRT/LRT di ko ka imagine sa traffic.. I hope naa sad unta ang Cebu ani.. gikan north padung south...

It is dirty and noisy. Not all places.

The salaries are high. I don't know sa other companies.
Pero mostly, taas ang salary compare sa Cebu, maybe because daghan sad mga company diri... pero kung mga non-skilled jobs tingali, pare-pareha ra man tingali sa Cebu? I don't know...

The rental fees of room or business offices are high. Wrong.
For rooms.. pare-pareha lang sa Cebu... we've rented an apartment in makati (walking distance lang sa office) 6K.. 2 rooms...

A 25,000 peso salary is not enough. Wrong.
Depende sa imo life style... kung mausab imo life style... starbucks kada adlaw, bar/chicks/Bira every weekend, lunchout kada adlaw, and other social things... wa jud kay matigum... OK lang ni kung di sigihoh...

The people speak good English and correct pronunciation. Wrong.
    Di kAbalo mu pronounce...
    Example:
Tricycle - they say it "Trisikel"

    guys, let's stop regionalism..

but for the sake of argument, if given a chance... i'd rather stay in manila because,
    1st, i grew up there.
2nd, there's a lot of job opportunities, specially cc industry.
3rd, paspas ang life.. daghan barato na gadgets, celfones, laptops, etc....
4th, advanced in terms of transpo, land projects, establishments, etc. dili ka ma ignoy..
5th, daghan bars, gigs, concerts, games...
6th, i feel home when i'm in crame, san juan city.. my birthplace..

but im not saying that i dont like it here in cebu..
cebu is my second home.. im an adopted cebuano! hehehe
