According to my Philippine History teacher (may her soul rest in peace now) in college.... the origin of mampor kay kadto pa time sa US invasion in the Philis. nagsend daw ang US ug american teachers to teach the natives. Naa daw one particular teacher nga terror and her name is Mrs. Ford. The natives had a difficulty with the F pronunciation so they call her Maam Pord. The name evolved as it was passed on from one generation to another so mao nga ang naabot sa ato kay mampor nalang hehhee. So that's why daw nga we use the term "mampor" to refer to something na kinaraan... "panahon pa ni Maam Ford or mampor!" hehehhe
