gamit ra ang pfsense if daghan gamit sa imo internet connection and/or/if maglabad imo ulo sa uban users.

mga bogo ang taga pfsense site forums, walay definite examples, dili han-ay, katag pa sa igit ila site , sige pa piste point ug document nga dili ka kasabot. [example: unsa-on ni?, dayon na-a senior member i-point ka sa page, inig landing nimo didto, na-a tu-od pero ang imo pangutana kay ma-o sab ang document dili ang sulbad sa imo pangutana 0_o.

no choice ko, need to learn it the hard way, wala sab la-in way, pfsense ra ang #1 in terms of ultimate traffic shaping.
pero... basta makuha!, nindot man sab resulta!...

my ultimate goal is to have a single connection [currently 5mbps down/.8kbps up] to have a lagg free gaming sessions IRREGARDLESS if magkamatay nag gamit ug torrent/stream/download/browse ang uban.

I maybe just too dumb to learn pfsense..., but I'll strive to learn this bastard ^_^

small update..., murag ako ma-ilisan nasab if na-a time/kwarta ang atom mobo kay need gyud nako i-virtualize atleast 2 OS (pfsense + other OS)
wala man gud vt-x ang ARK | Intel® Atom

currently, experiment pako unsa-on pag proper manage sa internet flow, makabu-ak sa ulo ning pfsense, either bogo ra ka-ayo ko or wala lang gyud proper examples documentation ila site

I see, ayaw gamit ug USB LAN
they recommend gamit ug Intel Gigabit NIC/LAN, pero ok ra if dili Intel as long as its not USB based.

as far as I know, here is my configuration (personal)

router -> pfsense unit -> switch -> all your computers

here are some pointers
1. my router is set to bridge mode (by preferrence aron ang pfsense gyud mu control sa routing function and not to make a 2nd router in the system)
2. my pfsense unit is not yet virtuallized as its just an atom board. please do take good consideration on making it virtuallized as some LAN being virtuallized is not 100% compatible/complete with pfsense


-in your setup, since I may say that you don't know how to bridge the modem, then you want your WAN on your pfsense on DHCP and do not assign a manual IP on it (that is if you don't know this) as making it DHCP will automatically get IP from your gateway (modem).
-on your LAN on your pfsense, its a bit odd for you to assign 192.168.100.20..., its best you make it somewhat 192.168.x.1..., where "x" is some number you may like.
-make sure you dedicate "two" physical LAN on the host, this the easiest way around. (want single LAN/NIC instead? then make yourself search the headache on pfsense forums and/or the internet)

its really good to have squid cache on pfsense..., maynalang makatabang sa update..., iya na cache sa local LAN ang updates ^_^ pero dili ni 100% cache ha, dili ko ka-vouch nga 100% ang cache niya sa local LAN.

pastilan kadako sa update sa dota2!, almost 2gb in size, since CCBoot mani ako mga unit..., mura mani na-a deepfreeze effect inig restart sa PC. sige lang download kada start-up ..., PERO tan-awa ang speed sa download! this is via squid cache ^_^ [local LAN cache download ni ha!, dili ni ISP download rate , 500kbps ra ato ma-afford..., dili kana 9mbps na makita ninyo ]

wala lang gyud easy way around it but it can be achieved bro
