Arrest

The International Crime Investigation Team of the Dutch National Criminal Investigation Department arrested José MarÃ*a Sison in Utrecht on August 18, 2006. José MarÃ*a Sison was arrested for his involvement from the Netherlands in three assassinations that took place in the Philippines, the murder on Romulo Kintanar in 2003, and the murders of Arturo Tabara and Stephen Ong in 2006. On the day of his arrest, José MarÃ*a Sison's apartment and eight apartments of his co-workers were searched by the Dutch National Criminal Investigation Department.[4] Sison 68 (who was questioned during the 6-hour police operation) will appear in a Hague court on Friday. Wim de Bruin announced that the trial will be in the Netherlands, not in the Philippines since there is no extradition request and the crimes punished under Dutch law, were committed in the Netherlands.[5]

Obviously, these militants will be airing their sentiments with regard to Joma's arrest. Come to think of it, they will be benefited with the arrest. They don't have to give Joma his part of the revolutionary tax (as with the NPA's) nor with the public funds (as with the party-list groups).

Joma's arrest should made militant and rebel groups think if their leader is worth their time and effort.

some party list groups strongly denied allegations that they are fronts of the CPP-NPA's but with Joma Sison's arrest recently, why do they brag so much about it? hehehe...just thought of it...
