while your at it, why not save bacteria and germs as well. give'm rights too....all insects and singel cell organism and everything in between.

*ban antibiotics, insect repellant....heck, ban showering and cleaning and personal hygienic practices.

.. haha, absolutely right. this movement to give animal rights to ants is ridiculous. yes, ants do have lives, they're alive, so in reality they have their " right " to live but it would be a waste of time for congress to discuss such an insignificant issue. There are other animals out there that needs " better " protection and there are animal right acts/laws that needs further revamp coz there are still loop-holes in those laws.

.. and as far as the ants is concern, all we have to do is to respect these little hard working creatures.

respect life in general. that's what my biology teacher told us. even mosquitoes

then you shouldnt have eaten anything that was killed intentionally like pigs, chickens ect.. anyway, it depends on the person how he treat animals. i myself dont enjoy torturing animals but i also dont hesitate to kill animals if needed. i have raised doves, pigeons and chickens before. i love them coz i enjoy watching them. but if my father tells me that he wants to eat a pigeon or a chicken, then there will be no mercy. and i dont feel sad when i slaughter them even though they were close to me.
