Need help for gaming rig

^ kana kun mag sige'g basa2x diri unya ganahan na sipa ang config sa rig, dili ma contento. mag sige'g kasakit ug "upgraditis" bisan, overkill sa actual application and games. fact ni sya maong, ask gyud ta kun unsa ang intended application ug ang games na duwaon. sa akoang taod2x na pag spend ug time sa ani na passion, nag lunop ang ganahan mo gasto ug maayo for the configuration and not for the actual application. pero, igo ra ta sa comment, wala ta'y control sa gusto himoon sa owner. ilaha mana ang money... dili mana atoa...

about anang statement na "Sakto ang specs" kay relative ni sya sa actual use... wala'y syop na specs if i-tailor according to the intended use and not on the intended "nice to have"... even mo palit ug old LGA 775 Core 2 Duo or Pentium Dual Core or AMD's equivalent para pang surf the internet, skype & FB... sa kani na application, dili ba diay ni makaya sa old micro-architecture? dba, kilawon lang ni sa oldy Core 2 Duo or Pentium Dual Core or AMD's equivalent. now, kun mag latest i5 or i7 unya, kana ra ang application na himoon, mao ni ang "sayop na specs according to use"... para dili outdated, ang sakto na CPU sa ani na gamit kay ang mga "current micro-architecture" Celeron or Pentium and AMD's equivalent... even an i3 is way overkill... kataw-anan ni pero, this is true baya... tinuod ni akoang sulti. dagahan ko kaila na nag i5 & i7 pero, surf the web, watching movies, FB, skype, video transcoding (para matan-aw sa tab or smartphone), playing DOTA ug light work loads lang ang gamit sa rigs nila... even katong akoang gi-DIY gabi na i5 rig ug gi post diri sa istorya... that is way an overkill sa intended application. kun ako pa comment-ton, dili to "sakto'g specs" according sa gamit sa tag-iya...

anyhow, kun gusto gyud si TS na i-maximize ang spec nya according to his 30K allowed budget, an i5 will do plus a better video card than the R9 270x kun ma sulod pa. unya na nang SSD on the next purchase. at a start, a 7200 rpm HDD will do and is more than enough on any application and OS... but, kaning R9 270x, for now, enough pa ni sya... its better than the GTX 750 Ti labi na, mag duwa'g FPS games like BF4... direct comparison ani nya on the Green side would be the GTX 760... gamay ra kaon sa kuryente ang GTX 750 Ti gyud pud. so far, as of today, wla'y maka lupig on the performance to power consumption ratio ani nya from both AMD and Nvidia. sa actual electric bill, dili man siguro taga li-og ang difference nila kun casual user lang... dili lang mga games ug 24 hrs... hehehehe...

kun maka lugar ko, kuha-an unya ni nko'g actual power consumption (measured by a watt meter) from the wall ang MSI R9 270x ug ang ASL GTX 750 Ti para ma share diri... ibutang nko sila sa akoang gaming rig para, apple to apple ang remaing HW... para direct comparison on the "potential" electric bill...

^ totally agree with you boss lloyd, hehe even me owning an intel i7 is an overkill since i am mainly using my RIG for FPS games running at 1080p hehe dli ma utilize ang full function sa i7. .even an i5 would be enough . .i'm not so sure if mo bottleneck ba akong R9 280x sa i3 hehe. .ari ra jd na daugon sa discrete GPU when it comes to Gaming, ,GPU is powerful than CPU . .pero saon man, ganahan man ko og i7 and ganahan lage ko mag OC (bulabog jd kaayo ning Prime95, CPU-Z, Fraps, Speccy, Afterburner og Benchmarks apps oi!! ikaw ang hinungdan sa tanan!!), hahay sakto jd ka boss lloyd it's "nice to have". .maybe because if naay mangutana nimo, unsa na imong setup bro? mo tubag daun ka i7! haha. .it's a nice feeling right. .but you then realize wala diay gamit hehe. .sayang2 lang sa kwarta. . tiwas! igo jd sa "upgraditis" hahay! gasto jd kaayo ni atong passion og hobby. may gani wala ko na tintal aning 900 series hehe. .wala ko nagpadala sa akong sakit. .i realized na akong R9 280x would really be enough sa BF4 maka max settings naka. .so it's no use of upgrade. .my card is still kickin'. .

like what i've said dili expected unsay gamitan after mahuman ang rig. instead of making setup trimming down to "sakto" ra na specs, why not just maximize based on usage habit, in this thread meaning gaming since he spoke of dota2 and 1080p, assuming he wants a 30K rig aron additional hardware nalang iya blemahon the next time instead of a hardware replacement kai d kontento.

i would rather choose faster pentium dual-core than i3 for general gaming purposes. gamay ra games utilizing HT
