    bro,
try inquiring for meridian telekoms, they are offering wireless internet connection of i think 800pesos per month unlimited. All you need is a Wi-Fi modem and they will provide other things needed.

email to this person for inquiry... jjobus_channelsales@meridiantelekoms.com

im not advertising for SMART Communications. but they have these ads that they can provide two times faster than dial-up connections thru their SMART Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity). As i have known, Smart uses their cell sites as hot spots so u can access the internet 'wirelessly'

i have asked a friend of mine, a subscribe of SMART Wi-Fi, that SMART staffs will be putting 'antennas' and your home and gadgets for you NIC so it can communicate with the cell site, no need for a modem.

IMO, speed will be faster if your nearer with the cell site contrary to what they are saying that its 2x faster than dial-up.

my friend was from Danao. as i have known, lahi ang ilang telephone provider ngadto, i have seen their directory nga pulos Danao residents ra ang nakita.then naay siya'y connection sa internet thru Smart WiFi. it uses NIC, ang makita nimo nga speed kay 100 Mbps and when i try to surf its approximately about 30 - 40 kbps.

i suggest you should ask someone from Smart about sa areas nga ma-cover sa ilang smart wi-fi.

Kini nga suggestion simple ra. But this will work and i believe much cheaper. What you have to do is buy a cordless phone nga long range. There is one that is capable of covering 60 kilometers to 100. Then mag install ka dial up sa inyo ha using the handset. Tan-awon nato kong dili mo function ni.

We are using pldt weroam right now and all I can say is that the service sucks! First and foremost, when we signed up for a connection, we expected them to send a monthly billing so we can accomodate it in our bills of course. We are not that ultra -rich to pull out any amount in our pockets, we do have to manage our bills.

So we rarely used the connection for three whole months due to the fact that the first bill has not arrived yet. 3 months later, the bill was delivered and much to our consternation, despite repeated demands to their office with a long distance number in manila, 8747474 sumthing, we got the bill and lo! it was a stunning 3 month bill.

Now they have threatened to disconnect our connection when we failed to pay the whole 3 monrhs. we just paid he monthly dues but not the entire three months. I would like to kow if there is justice in this action as a service provider.

I have every intention of divulging this scam if they could not give me a valid explanation for this action and not mere threats. Besides they are not the only ones in the business.

you can use smart's gprs/3g internet at 10 pesos for 30 minutes. all you need is a grps or 3g capable nokia phone, a usb connector for that phone and the latest version of nokia pc suite.
