all you need is the local IP address raman para sa port forwarding.

if you still need the DNS servers gikan sa imo ISP -- open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /all"

bro... u portforwarding needs a static ip setting. thats why u need a DNS server kay apil man ni cya sa requirement pag static. just call your internet hotline..they will give you 2 DNS servers proveided you can answer all their personal questions relating sa imo ra sad!

ngano imo pa man tawn ni gi ukay ang karaan nga topic. neweyz static IP is not a requirement for port forwarding to work. It only makes sure that the port forwarding setting is not broken when the intended computer has acquired a different IP. In my lan, DHCP server is on and my ip is dynamic. portforwarding still works as long as i maintain the ip address -- which is made sure by reserving an ip address for my computer. and as to how to get the DNS servers-- i already posted the easiest way to do it. no need to call your ISP.

actually, DSX is ryt. it wouldn't matter anymore if there is DHCP or not.. as long as the ip of the computer you are trying to forward is maintained, it should not have any problems at all. in fact, the DHCP can also sense if the IP address it is trying to give the DHCP client is used already or not. So DHCP service is not an issue here...

@bongix Port-forwarding can be also done with dynamic IP addresses.
@sploy DHCP should be off because your local IP address (target IP for port forwading) will change every time you boot up your PC.

I suggest to use a static address (no "automatic" in network settings).

On PROLINK H9000 (maybe similar to H9200), go to click "Virtual Server".
Here you could add your port forwarding.

"Public Port - Start / End" is the service port range of the outside IP (internet connection) while the "Private Port" and "Host IP Address" is your local port and intranet IP address.

When adding ports, to be fool-proof, make Public and Private Ports the same port# for TCP and UDP (so 2 entries per port#).
