RESPECT: Lawyers or Doctors.....

generally, both of them ought to be respected. it's not easy to be a doctor and a lawyer . the road of being one is really hard to take. not everyone who desires to be a doctor or a lawyer becomes one.

personally, i am more inclined to respect doctors than lawyers maybe perhaps i have met a couple of sleazy lawyers(not to mention some of our teachers) than sleazy doctors

.. i give more respect to doctors, not because i'm one but because of what they, or "we" do. It's helping people. People in need. But sometimes there are some who put patients on a leash, give false medications just to suck money out of rich people. And no offense to any lawyers out there, but i don't like it when they defend the guilty. I mean, the phrase " not guilty until proven so", give me a break, it's so lame. For sure along the line, there are times when the lawyer sees that the person they're defending is indeed guilty but then they try to alter the truth. I find it so gutless.

Lawyers --> They do everything to defend their client, whether guilty or not. They have to lie if they have to.
Doctors --> They often either give false hopes or exaggerate situations.

so is it a question on the profession per se? it didn't occur to me that the other profession is morally superior than the other coz i always thought it's the character of the professional that inspires respect.

It doesnt matter if ur a lawyer ,doctor , teacher or labandera ..You dont demand respect...u earned it..Intergrity imatters most.

Coming from a family with both doctors and lawyers, I'd say both... It's just sad because every now and then, a slimeball comes into the picture.
