someow we have pushed back the line so far on what we consider immoral or not. we now base our judgment on what we see around us. if its common and everybody's into it - then its not immoral anymore.

To whom we address morality and ethics in pornography? To the greedy producers? To the actors and actress of each scenes? Or to an invididual who watched these materials because they are drawn of their curiousity, lust and sexual fantasies?

In pornography, all are losers except the producers who are fun of making big amount of money. Pornography is an epidemic in our society today, we don't know how to stop. Pornography foolishly shows the other side of *** which is so stupid and shallow. In pornography teachs that *** is something you can have anywhere, anyone and anytime.

I agree with Springfield, human body is a perfect art. If you have noticed roman architects and designers used human image as an art. There's nothing immoral if dili lang e abuse and artistic lang sab ang dating but if gamiton para sexual fantacy then that's another story. Sa uban country maybe it's fine for them but diri sa ato since we're catholic country i believe this is not suitable for us bisan trend na jud ni ron to catch customer's attention especially commercial or promotions. Porn, hopefully, is a phase that most of us go through and then grow out of and then move on. This is like the other "controversial" issues: guns, drugs, prostitution, etc... A lot of people are against it but if it scratches someone's itch, someone's gonna sell it. The answers really just depend on our point of view. If you're a Catholic then it's automatically immoral. If you're a pornographer then it's business. If you're a liberal then it's human nature.

We can't entirely blame the pornographers here. I mean, c'mon, show of hands: how many here has never willingly watched porn at some point in their life before? Honestly?

As an aside, in my opinion, even when most of society believes that something like porn is OK, it doesn't mean that porn is not immoral. Take tobacco and alcohol for instance. These two are generally accepted by society to be OK. There are more restrictions on porn than on either of the two yet smoking and drinking causes harm to more people than porn.

It's like any other temptation. Resist or give in.

I concur. Definitely! Pornography is not evil nor immoral. I believe that God has all the reasons why he gave us sensitivities to lust for ***...the only thing is...we should know our limitations...

A point of contention though...

Up to what point can we consider porn as tolerable? Or, up to what point does it become too much? Sure, there's soft core, R18 and straight porn. But what about, say, child pornography? It IS part of porn whether we like it or not but who draws the line? Society? Statutory rape in Japan ends at 13 or 14 years old (if I remember correctly). Does that make it ok to have 15 year old girls in porn then? Duh? Let's not even get started on the other, uh, unsavory genres of porn.

There are a lot of gray areas when it comes to porn, mostly due to the taboo associated with our sexuality. My take on this: to each his own, as long as you don't harm others in the process.

what the info we get upon veiwing the film, for the begginer they may say OH this is it. I heard a girl at age 17 first year college at my home when they veiw the xrated. her reaction goes like thihs. " Hala anaon diay na nang? tinoud na, hala masulod kaha na kadako ana" yah its true, why because she did not experience it before. then she got info, 2nd the adult will or young people after veiwing, they were gone to their places some with the partner to be satisfied and immitate what they had seen, young people at CR (HEHEHE)
