i dont think obliged ang simbahan pagpanghatag og mga butang. they are built to serve the spirtual needs.

    bitaw, this is definitely fake.

in my experience, they were asking for donations then using a YFC letterhead. they are citing verses in the bible then they speak as if they are militant people. i am a YFC, and we don't use that kind of method in soliciting or asking for donations. plus, when i asked for an ID, wala pa jud napakita.

scam jud. grabee. don't give any donations jud.

Donations are voluntarily given right? In the strictest sense, it's not right when somebody asks for a "donation". I honestly don't know where to categorize these people, but for now, I put them in the "asking" or "modus operandi" category. I've encountered these people a lot of times already. In PUJs, while eating, even at malls, internet cafes and in the church!! Wala gyuy gipili nga lugar.

Permits don't work for me either because of the simple fact that I don't know these people. If I give, I'd rather go directly to the proper persons or groups.

What about itinerant pastors/preachers who preach on buses and solicit offerings after their sermons? (They're quite prevalent in central Negros, where I sometimes take long trips on Ceres buses to Bacolod.) They're less likely to be con men for sure, if they're that knowledgeable about the Bible.

    What do you think?

We do have a choice right? We can give or we could opt not to. Basta wa lang sila namugos or wala na nagharass.
