Trillanes didn't win because he is in prison. He won because 11M voters liked his principles and wants him to represent them in the Senate. He is in prison because he stood for his principles. Dili basta-basta makadaog ug national election especially in prison and without much financial support.

Granted that he utilized the wrong means of showing dissatisfaction of the corruption in the ranks of the generals, does that take away the righteousness of what he was fighting for? Unlike Gringo, his actions were guided by his love for country as well as concern for frontline soldiers sent to battle lacking the right equipments because of corruption. If you were in his place and nobody would listen to your concerns, what would you do? 11M voters admired him and forgave his drastic action. Are we to deprive them of the man they trust to represent them in the senate? Look at the military now. Has the corruption diminished? The duds fired against the MILF proves that Trillanes has a lot to do in the senate to rescue his fellow soldiers from the greed of the generals. Let him do the job!

DOnt assume that all 11 M smart FILIPINOS wanted him to represent them in the SENATE . Who knows 10 M smart FIlipinos only wants TRILLANES to win kay hapit na sila mapasmo and just like what you said , FINANCIAL SUPPORT is a BIG factor also for his victory .

That doesnt give him IMMUNITY for his actions not be sent to jail , prosecution and conviction . What he did is WRONG , plain and simple and is PUNISHABLE by EXISTING PHILIPPINE LAWS that is applicable . How can one be a leader and so called author of laws when he himself cant uphold it ?

Dont use the 11 M voters as a LEVERAGE to make him a better person . It does not justify bai ... bisan 22M pa na or 33 M .

Yes let him do the job after serving his prison time .

hmmmm... as for me, let's the legal expert deal this problem.

if the law says he cannot attend senate hearings... so be it.

11M Filipinos voted Trillanes not to release him from jail, but to show the disappointment towards GMA.

i disagree bro,,dili basta masolsolan amg PMAer? mao bitaw mga ng mutiny to sila kay naa ng solsol.mao btaw to nga naa meeting between gringo ang some of the magdalo officers,g take advantage sa mga hakog sa power ang pagka idiealistic sa mga junior officer,,kinsa d i ang ng palit sa ila gamit?katao mga radio mga backpack, nga dili manto issue sa military,,do u think gringo is not involve in that so called mutiny and sone in the oppositions?he is an icon in the military until now.. he is the god father.remenber how many coup attempt he made during corry aquinos administration?.yup ur right that corruption exist in the military,,but thats not enough reason to stage a mutiny..the real plan for that mutiny is for triilanes to be sikat,,why the hell did trillanes won..

^ We should put an end to military adventurism because it won't help this country improve. I hope all those junior officers will think of their duty rather than their own ambitions. I do hope they won't follow the footsteps of Trillanes.

Trillanes was able to bag fame when he staged mutiny in 2003. His messianic complex helped his way to be popular enough to garner enough votes to win a seat at the Senate. But his ways should be reformed. Otherwise, he will just always resort to such unlawful acts if circumstances don't go the way he wanted it.
