Will there be another earthquake in the future? Another super typhoon? A future volcanic eruption perhaps? Droughts? Landslides? Sinkholes? Yes to all of that. Not only that, you can also count on man-made calamities like fires, violent rebel uprising (MNLF, Abu S, etc) and coups by disgruntled military personnel, and widespread hunger. You don't need a crystal ball to gauge the probabilty of those things happening in the future.

Just pray and all will be well? If by prayer, you mean bringing together enough people to request for the same thing so that the Almighty will give it His highest priority...this is nothing more than superstitious fatalism. Wala lagi mawala, but that's time wasted if that's all you do. Our fate is in our hands. Whether or not a building collapses depends on engineering design, not divine intervention.

Super typhoons are not going to sidestep from its path just because the Oratio Imperata was said out loud. These things don't care if it topples down the most sacred churches...in case you haven't noticed. Now, what does that tell you? Reading this is literally scary. More scarier than Stephen King's best selling novels. If indeed it's true, 1 out 7,107 islands remain, the question would be what? And since she's not telling us by any means or giving a hint, probably she's referring to it as Cebu, since if she knew, she'd probably live there as well and right now, I don't think she's packing.

I considered myself already blessed that up to this day I draw breath. I don't have religion but I have a God. What happens happens. Every life has a dead end. Some sooner than others. If that's the case, I'd be more than happy I've experienced the natural wonders this life had given me.
