OT: i erred when i installed the linux boot loader on the windows partition, that's why WinXP crashed. i reinstalled windows first, then ubuntu which the boot loader i installed in the linux partition(wa ko kibaw ani pag first by the way).
now it's ok na. just have to study the ubuntu OS more further.

you might have missed the instructions on the CD
The default installation will erase all existing software and data from your computer!
what you can do is use the expert installation when you install the ubunto OS

another question mga bro. how do i install my device drivers? in one of my driver manuals, use the rpm package. how do i know if i have an rpm? where do i find it?
