bro mickopono, you nailed it on your last statement bro...

sa akoa lang, user man gyud ko sa products aning "only competing GPUs companies to date"... kumbate gyud ang performance sa mga offerings ani nila duha... for a gaming GPU, mas bang for the money ang mga offerings sa AMD... kay lagi, barato man compared sa green team. but, kahibaw man ang Nvidia na superior ang performance sa offerings nila in the "over-all performance comparison"... in gaming, productivity apps and eng'g/scientific calculation... maong, taas2x-san nila'g presyo ang offerings nila...

the realm of GPU computation is Nvidia's turf... bahala na'g ilaha na, gaming man atoang concern... hehehe... go go go AMD...

example lang kay ang mga video editing apps, AutoCAD, Simulation software (ANSYS)... even the worlds most powerful supercomputer for 2013 (located in Guangzhou, China... the "Tianhe-1A") used Intel (Xeon) and Nvidia (Tesla)... it leaves the "Cray Titan" in a very wide margin... the Titan is powered by both AMD (Opteron) and Nvidia (Tesla)...

here's an excerpt from Wiki... additional info lang ni para sa kaban of knowledge...

again, most of us here are generally concerned in gaming... so, "bring it down Red & Green"... hehehe... color ug Christmas man ni sila baya... ayay, speaking of Christmas... hhmmm... here's the equation diri sa forum nato...

"Christmas = new PC HW"... hehehe...

by the way, ask ko ninyo. nag price drop napud ba ang mga AMD GPUs dha sa Pinas?
thanks for this statement im relieved lol im still happy with my titans hehe, if gaming lang ang concern like you have said, maguol nako ana bro kay barato ang amd compared to the "green" repear lol

Interested ko sa AMD TrueAudio Technology. If this proves ear blowing as reported then I think it's time to let go of my Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty and free up some pci-e space. I was hoping it will be a full launch, turns out soft launch pa man diay. We won't be seeing R9-290x's till next month. So up to this point we still don't know a.) how much it would cost and b.) if it lives to the hype as Titan killer ( gaming wise ).

Yea, but still on my part, may wait pako sa actual tests and reviews. Wont rely on some guy working on amd and paid by amd to do tests for their own product. Murag dili kaayo masaligan ang given info and output. Ive recently read some articles, a 780 oc still beats the r9-290x but still i want actual details before i judge amd

yeah, AMD can not rub elbows to elbows with Nvidia on GPU computing per se... on scientific and engineering computational power, "Nvidia is 2nd to none"... bisan pa, mas daghan ug cores and AMD GPU... the numbers doesn't always equate to performance... just like what the GTX 660 Ti shows to the world... even its just 192 bit, but, it can "play with the big boys"... and is faster than the HD 7870 GH Ed that has a 256 bit mem band width...

in gaming, give and take ang AMD and Nvidia on performance... gaming performance, most of the time, Nvidia's offering wins on a "class per class performance" but, price wise, AMD wins... mas "wallet friendly" sila... on the other hand, for the "OC'er crowd", mas wide ang headroom sa AMD vs Nvidia... but, its only on the GHz number... but it will enter the realm of its upper sibling naman pud... kaning pag OC, just like the CPU thingy ni... FPS comparison, give and take gihapon sila... bottom line is ang Price to Performance ratio... some folks are in the pursuit of the "GHz Number"... while some are into the "Real Performance" and their pockets are bottomless... and you know that you are one of that crowd bro LZ... aaammmiiinnniiinnn... bwehehehehe...

But then again, given Tahiti's scaling when it comes to overclocking, it could defeat an oc'ed 780 in the OC race. So I guess we keep the pair-up at stock clocks first. Save the OC taunting for later hehe.

about sa scaling sa AMD, nice gyud kaayo... as what I experienced on the HD 7770s...

by the way, naa ko'y nabantayan. inig madagan nako'g MSi Kombustor... ang HD 7770s, mag full load ang duha... as shown sa monitoring ug sa GPU-z (shown as full speed) but sa akoang GTX 670s, mag full load ra ang GPU 0... ang GPU 1, naa ra sa 1% to 5% ra ang loading... but full speed ang cores sa GPU-z pasabot, fully loaded ang 2 GPUs.

is this related in how Furmark was created? MSI Kombustor is based on Furmark man...

GPU Computing comes in many forms . Open-cl is one which is still AMD's turf. Scientific and engineering computations may favor the Titan( wait Titan is a crippled quadro, so I don't think it would do much as a dedicated workstation card )given it's architecture but those are workstation category, we are in the computer desktop enthusiast category. You can't expect a guy working at Nasa or a disease finding research lab to come in inside a computer store and buys a Titan hehe.
