daghana najud ug atraso aning cebu pacific uy...
naa ko davao karon. issue paman gihapon ni ron. the possibility of of a cover up between cebu pacific and caap is still whiffing in the air.
the fact that after the plane overshoot form the runway it took almost 30 mins before they decided to let the passengers off the plane. which during that time smoke was already present in the fuselage. and the mere fact they denied entry on the local emergency crew to help the downed plane is highly questionable.
trying to find more information will update as soon as i can.

and this one is very interesting... man?! i think i will never ride CEB again... i'd rather pay more to other airlines than rest my life to a budget airline who doesn't even care and with pilots and crews whom now i doubt their training and capabilities.... instead ang pilot and the crew ang mo tabang, matay sila naman hinuon gi tabang pastilan gi atay nalang gyud?! wake up call for everybody maryusep?!

and there you go, as expected, finger pointing is now the name of the game...
Frederick San Felix, general manager of the Francisco Bangoy International airport, said the incident could be blamed on an error on the part of the pilot or many other human factors.
He also belied reports that the runway mishap was caused by unlighted runway.
“We cannot give clearance to land until cleared. All runway systems were normal and the runway lights were in full intensity,” San Felix told journalists.

To be fair to Cebu Pac, $h!t happens, let us wait for the results of the investigation since I presume that none of us here were there or even qualified enough to actually asses the situation. Every other month I have been taking the ceb-dvo-ceb route for the past 14 years and so far have not yet encountered any serious mishaps...
I'm glad no one was injured and all passengers escaped from the plane unscathed.
In the news this morning, people with knowledge of the incident noted pilot error. But, the pilot of that plane said the wiper wasn't functioning and he could not see clearly the runaway, and the runaway was slippery causing the plane to veer to the right.
Anyways, everything is recorded in the blackbox. They could get information in there.
^^ investigations can be twisted... i was not there and i am not qualified since i am just an ordinary citizen... but the truth from the passengers themselves coming from the news all around is enough proof to me that something indeed have gone wrong and most likely human error and lack of training to respond to these kinds of situation... not only to CEB but also to Davao Airport personnel...
and same as you, i've been travelling domestic for the past 14 years or so too... manila, ceb, dvo, gensan, kalibo, and even clark... i know shit happens, but it can be prevented from happening........ or to the very least, be prepared and trained to handle such.... and clearly CEB and Davao Aiport failed in that matter (at least in my level of expectation in handling emergencies)...
